In Pixar's Cars 2, Francesco Bernoulli is Lightning McQueen's main rival in the World Grand Prix.

Francesco is an Italian Formula One-style open-wheel race car who competes against Lightning in the film's international championship. He is fast, confident, and highly theatrical, making him a strong contrast to Lightning's more grounded personality.

The two racers meet in the World Grand Prix, which visits Tokyo, Porto Corsa, and London. Their rivalry supplies the sporting storyline while Mater becomes involved in an espionage adventure involving secret agents and a conspiracy.

Francesco is voiced by John Turturro in the English version. His name and design reflect his Italian identity, while his open-wheel shape distinguishes him from the stock-car racers central to the first film.
