What is the name of the luxury racing event in Pixar's Cars 2?

The luxury racing event in Pixar's Cars 2 is the World Grand Prix.

Sir Miles Axlerod organizes the competition to promote Allinol, a new alternative fuel. Lightning McQueen accepts the invitation and races against international competitors, including Francesco Bernoulli.

The event is staged in three locations: Tokyo, Porto Corsa, and London. These venues allow the movie to combine high-speed racing with the espionage story involving Mater, Finn McMissile, and Holley Shiftwell.

The World Grand Prix is fictional and should not be confused with Formula One's real-world Grand Prix races. Cars 2 uses the name as a broad international tournament within its animated vehicle universe.
