Sally Carrera is the Porsche 911 character who becomes Lightning McQueen’s partner in Pixar’s Cars.
Sally is the town attorney and a central resident of Radiator Springs. She helps Lightning understand the town’s history and encourages him to look beyond his immediate racing ambitions. Her relationship with Lightning develops as he becomes more respectful of the community.
The character is a blue 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera, and her surname reflects the Carrera name used by Porsche for several performance models. Bonnie Hunt provides Sally’s voice in Cars and its sequels. The character also appears in Cars-themed attractions, merchandise, and animated shorts.
Sally is sometimes confused with Cruz Ramirez because both are important female characters in the franchise. Cruz is a yellow racing trainer introduced in Cars 3, while Sally was present from the original 2006 film.
