John Lasseter
Pixar's 2006 film Cars was directed by John Lasseter.

The film was co-directed by Joe Ranft, who also contributed to its story and voice cast. However, the single credited director is John Lasseter, making his name the canonical answer.
Cars was Pixar's seventh feature film. It introduced audiences to Lightning McQueen, Mater, Doc Hudson, Sally Carrera, and the residents of Radiator Springs. Lasseter later served as executive producer on Cars 2 and Cars 3.
