In Pixar's Cars 2, Francesco Bernoulli is the Italian racer who challenges Lightning McQueen.

Francesco is a Formula-style open-wheel car and one of the headline competitors in the World Grand Prix. He is introduced as a highly successful racer with considerable confidence and a strong desire to be recognized as McQueen's equal or superior.

His rivalry gives the World Grand Prix its central sporting tension. The two racers compete across the events in Japan, Italy, and England, while Mater becomes involved in the film's separate spy storyline.

Francesco's design and name are associated with Italian motorsport, but he is a fictional character rather than a real Formula One driver. He is sometimes confused with other Cars 2 racers, including German racer Max Schnell and French rally car Raoul ÇaRoule.
