In Metal Gear Solid, the nuclear weapons specialist who helps Solid Snake is Nastasha Romanenko.

Nastasha Romanenko is an arms expert who advises Snake through Codec conversations during the Shadow Moses operation. She explains technical details about Metal Gear REX, nuclear weapons, and the strategic danger posed by the facility’s takeover.

Her role is often mixed up with Naomi Hunter, the mission’s medical adviser, and Mei Ling, the communications specialist who provides save-game support. Nastasha also writes the book In the Darkness of Shadow Moses: The Unofficial Truth, which expands the background of the incident in the game’s aftermath.
