What is the name of the remake of the original Metal Gear Solid made for Nintendo GameCube?
Answer
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Answer
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
The Nintendo GameCube remake is titled Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes.
Silicon Knights developed The Twin Snakes with assistance from Konami, and Nintendo published it in 2004. It retells the Shadow Moses story from the 1998 Metal Gear Solid while rebuilding the visuals and incorporating gameplay features associated with Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.
The remake includes updated character models, new cutscenes, revised controls, and English voice performances that were re-recorded for the project. Ryuhei Kitamura directed the new cinematic sequences, giving them a more stylized action-film presentation than the original game.
The Twin Snakes is not simply the original PlayStation game placed on a new disc. It is a separate remake with mechanical and presentation changes. It is also different from Metal Gear Solid: Integral, an expanded version of the original game released in Japan, and from later HD collections that preserved rather than remade the source game.
