It also provides the technological foundation for the Patriots’ control over the global war economy. When the network is disrupted, soldiers can suffer severe confusion and loss of coordination.
SOP is distinct from FOXDIE, the engineered virus associated with Solid Snake, and from XOF, the covert organization connected to Skull Face. The abbreviations belong to different parts of the series’ fictional military and biological systems.
