In Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Snake receives the Sneaking Suit as a special camouflage suit.
The Sneaking Suit is designed for covert operations and reduces the stamina cost of movement. It also protects Snake from some environmental hazards and helps him remain effective during prolonged infiltration missions.
Metal Gear Solid 3 gives camouflage a larger role than earlier games in the series. Players can change both Snake’s uniform and face paint to match forests, grasslands, rocky areas, and other surroundings. The Sneaking Suit is a specialist outfit rather than ordinary terrain camouflage.
The suit is sometimes confused with the Tuxedo, which is an unlockable outfit with a different visual purpose. Battle Dress is associated with later entries, especially Metal Gear Solid V, so it is not the standard answer for Snake’s special suit in Snake Eater.
