In Mega Man X, Storm Eagle grants X the Storm Tornado weapon.

Storm Eagle is one of the eight Maverick bosses in the original Mega Man X. An eagle-themed Reploid and former leader of the 7th Airborne Unit, he controls an airport stage filled with strong winds, launch platforms, and airborne hazards. After X defeats him, the game's Variable Weapon System converts his power into the Storm Tornado.

The Storm Tornado fires a powerful horizontal column of wind that can pass through enemies and continue across the screen. It is particularly useful against groups of smaller enemies and can also damage bosses vulnerable to its wind-based energy. Its origin follows the series' familiar structure: defeating a Maverick allows X to claim that enemy's signature weapon.

Storm Eagle is sometimes mixed up with Storm Owl, another bird-themed Maverick from a later Mega Man X game. Storm Owl appears in Mega Man X4 and grants the Double Cyclone, not the Storm Tornado. The weapon belongs specifically to Storm Eagle in Mega Man X.
