In Jurassic Park III, what is the name of Dr. Alan Grant’s research assistant?

In Jurassic Park III, Dr. Alan Grant’s research assistant is Billy Brennan.

Billy, played by Alessandro Nivola, is a paleontologist working with Grant before the expedition to Isla Sorna. He accompanies Grant after Paul and Amanda Kirby persuade the pair to guide an aerial tour of the island.

The character is important to the film’s scientific subplot. Billy secretly takes Velociraptor eggs, hoping that selling them will fund Grant’s research. He later realizes the seriousness of his decision and helps protect the Kirby family and the rest of the group.

Billy is often confused with other Jurassic Park supporting characters. Eddie Carr belongs to The Lost World, while Nick Van Owen also appears in that film. Peter Ludlow is InGen executive John Hammond’s nephew in The Lost World, not Grant’s assistant.
