In Genesis, Ham was the son of Noah who saw his father uncovered. Genesis 9:20–24 describes Noah becoming drunk after planting a vineyard and Ham seeing his father’s nakedness inside the tent.
Ham told his two brothers, Shem and Japheth, who responded by covering Noah while carefully avoiding looking at him. When Noah awoke and learned what had happened, the story continues with a pronouncement involving Canaan, Ham’s son.
A common mix-up is answering Canaan, because Noah’s later pronouncement concerns Canaan. However, Genesis identifies Ham as the son who saw Noah uncovered. The passage is also distinct from the Flood narrative itself: it occurs after Noah and his family leave the Ark and begin life on land.
