In Gattaca, what is the name of the protagonist's fake identity?

The story behind the answer

In Gattaca, the protagonist Vincent Freeman adopts the fake identity of Jerome Morrow.

Vincent is a naturally conceived “in-valid” in a society that ranks people by genetic profiles. Because his test results predict health problems and a shortened life expectancy, he cannot pursue his dream of spaceflight openly. He buys a “borrowed ladder” from Jerome Eugene Morrow, a genetically elite former swimmer who became paraplegic after an accident.

Using Jerome’s blood, urine, hair, and skin samples, Vincent passes the routine genetic checks at Gattaca Aerospace Corporation. He also changes his appearance and removes traces of his own biological material. The deception lets him work as a navigator and qualify for a mission to Titan, Saturn’s largest moon.

The name can cause confusion because Jerome’s full name is Jerome Eugene Morrow. “Eugene” is his middle name, not the identity Vincent primarily uses. Vincent Freeman and Anton Freeman are the brothers at the center of the story, while Jerome is the person whose genetic credentials Vincent impersonates.
