Peter Jones is the original Dragon who founded Phones International Group.
Phones International Group was established by Jones in 1998 as a telecommunications business. His background in mobile phones and communications helped establish him as one of the best-known investors on the British edition of Dragon's Den.
Jones was part of the original Dragon's Den panel when the programme launched in 2005. He has remained associated with the series through many changes to the investor lineup, making him the longest-serving Dragon in the programme's British history.
Phones International Group should not be confused with Peter Jones's later investments or with the John Lewis department store called Peter Jones. The Dragon is also known for businesses connected with mobile communications, technology and consumer products.
