Peter Jones has appeared as an investor in every series of the British version of Dragons' Den.
Jones joined the programme at its launch in 2005 and remained part of the regular panel as other dragons arrived and departed. He is an entrepreneur and investor whose business interests have included technology, media, retail and telecommunications.
His long tenure makes him the sole original dragon still associated with the programme across its complete run. This is sometimes confused with the idea that he was the first dragon to invest, but the series features many separate pitches and no single investor dominates every deal.
Jones has also appeared in other business-focused television programmes, including the BBC series American Inventor. His continued presence is one of the clearest links between the original British series and its later line-ups.
