In Dragon's Den, which investor founded the property company Regus, now known as IWG?

The story behind the answer

Mark Dixon founded Regus, the flexible-office company now known as IWG, and later appeared as a Dragon's Den investor.

Dixon founded Regus in Brussels in 1989. The company provided serviced offices and flexible workspace, allowing businesses to rent professional premises without taking a conventional long-term office lease. Regus expanded internationally and became one of the best-known companies in the serviced-office sector.

Dixon joined the Dragon's Den panel as a guest Dragon in the programme's early years. His entrepreneurial career was already established by then, and his experience centred on commercial property, office services and international business expansion.

Regus changed its corporate name to IWG plc in 2016, although Regus remains a major brand within the group. This creates a frequent identification problem: IWG is the later parent-company name, while Regus is the business most closely associated with Dixon's founding achievement.
