Deborah Meaden became the first Dragon to appear on Strictly Come Dancing.
Meaden competed in the eleventh series of the BBC dance programme in 2013, partnering with professional dancer Robin Windsor. Her participation brought one of Dragons' Den’s business personalities into a very different BBC entertainment format.
The distinction is about a Dragon appearing as a contestant, not about the programme’s presenters or guest business experts. Meaden is also associated with television documentaries and factual programming, but Strictly Come Dancing is the prominent celebrity dance competition in which she competed.
