In Dragon's Den, which inventor created the Tangle Teezer hairbrush?

The story behind the answer

Shaun Pulfrey created the Tangle Teezer, a hairbrush designed to detangle hair with less pulling and breakage.

Pulfrey developed the product after working as a professional hairstylist. He originally called the invention the “Tangle Teezer” and presented it on Dragon's Den in 2007. The pitch did not secure the deal he wanted, but the product went on to become commercially successful.

The brush uses flexible teeth arranged to move through hair rather than snagging it in the same way as many conventional brushes. It was marketed for wet and dry hair and for different hair types.

The story is often cited as an example of a Dragon's Den business succeeding without accepting investment. A televised rejection therefore did not prevent Pulfrey from developing an international consumer brand.
