In Dragon's Den, which entrepreneur created the Tangle Teezer detangling brush?
Answer
Shaun Pulfrey
Answer
Shaun Pulfrey
Shaun Pulfrey created the Tangle Teezer detangling brush.
Pulfrey was a British hairstylist who developed the product after observing how conventional brushes could pull and damage hair. His design used rows of flexible teeth with different lengths, allowing the brush to work through knots while reducing the force applied to the hair.
He pitched Tangle Teezer on Dragon's Den in 2007 and accepted investment from Theo Paphitis. The television appearance helped provide visibility as the company moved from an early product concept into a large-scale beauty business.
People sometimes attribute the brush to the Dragon who invested in it. Paphitis was the investor, but Pulfrey was the entrepreneur and inventor behind the product. The company later sold several variations for different hair types and uses.
