Rob Law pitched Trunki, a ride-on suitcase for children, on Dragon's Den.
The product was designed to make airport and travel journeys easier for young children. Its moulded case could carry belongings while also allowing a child to sit on and ride the suitcase. That combination made Trunki visually memorable and clearly different from a conventional wheeled bag.
Law's appearance became famous because the Dragons did not invest in the business. Despite that televised rejection, Trunki went on to achieve substantial commercial success and became a recognisable British design product.
A frequent mix-up is to associate Rob Law with Tangle Teezer. Tangle Teezer was created by Shaun Pulfrey and concerns hair detangling. Trunki belongs to the travel-product category and is the business most closely linked with Law's Dragon's Den appearance.
