Rob Law pitched the children's ride-on suitcase Trunki on Dragon's Den, but all five Dragons declined to invest.
Trunki was designed as a lightweight suitcase that children could sit on and ride through airports. Law presented the product in the programme's third series, where the Dragons questioned aspects of the design, manufacturing and valuation.
Although the television pitch ended without a deal, Trunki went on to become a prominent British product-design success. The suitcase was developed by Law's company, Magmatic, and won design recognition after its launch. Its story is often cited as an example of a business succeeding despite receiving no on-screen offer.
The programme did not invent Trunki, and no Dragon ultimately owned a stake as a result of that pitch. The product is sometimes confused with ordinary children's luggage because its defining feature is that it can be ridden.
