Davies is the surname of the Dragon who founded Crafter's Companion.
Sara Davies founded Crafter's Companion in 2005 while she was a student at the University of York. The company began after she developed a product that helped crafters make envelopes using a popular paper-and-cardboard scoring tool.
The business grew from a small entrepreneurial project into an international craft-supplies company. Its products have included tools, materials and equipment sold through television shopping, retailers and online channels. Davies later joined the Dragons' Den panel in 2019.
A common confusion is with Deborah Meaden, who is also a female Dragon and has a long background in leisure and investment businesses. Davies is the Dragon specifically linked to Crafter's Companion, while Meaden is not the company's founder.
