In Despicable Me 2, what is the name of the shopping mall where Gru works?

In Despicable Me 2, Gru works at Paradise Mall.

After leaving supervillainy, Gru is recruited by the Anti-Villain League to investigate a criminal operating from a shopping mall. To maintain his cover, he works in a cupcake shop at Paradise Mall alongside Lucy Wilde, who is undercover as another employee.

The mall setting is important because it lets Gru and Lucy observe potential suspects while presenting their investigation as an ordinary civilian job. Gru’s attempts to make cupcakes provide several of the film’s comic scenes and contrast with his former life of elaborate crimes.

Paradise Mall is sometimes confused with the mall’s cupcake shop, which is not the same name. The shop is the workplace, while Paradise Mall is the larger location containing it. The investigation eventually points toward Eduardo Pérez, also known as El Macho.
