In Despicable Me 2, what is the name of Gru’s boss at the Anti-Villain League?

In Despicable Me 2, Gru’s boss at the Anti-Villain League is Silas Ramsbottom.

Silas Ramsbottom recruits Gru to investigate a new criminal threat after Gru has moved away from villainy. He serves as a senior official of the Anti-Villain League, the agency that opposes supervillains and later works with Gru and Lucy Wilde.

The character’s surname is a frequent source of confusion because the franchise contains several exaggerated names, including Dr. Nefario, El Macho, and Vector. Silas is also sometimes mixed up with Lucy, Gru’s field partner, or with Eduardo Pérez, the villain whose public identity is El Macho.

Silas is voiced by Steve Coogan in Despicable Me 2. His assignment launches the main spy-comedy plot and brings Gru into Lucy’s orbit.
