In Cyberpunk 2077, the rogue artificial intelligence who was once Alt Cunningham is Alt Cunningham.
Alt began as a brilliant netrunner and the creator of the Soulkiller program, a technology capable of copying a person’s consciousness. Arasaka used the program against her, and her digital existence later became associated with the vast network beyond the Blackwall.
Johnny Silverhand had a personal relationship with Alt before her capture and death, which makes her central to Johnny’s memories and the game’s wider conflict. V eventually encounters Alt in cyberspace during the main story.
Alt is sometimes confused with the engram of Johnny Silverhand or with the AI Delamain. Johnny is a copied human consciousness, while Delamain is a taxi-service AI. Alt’s identity is rooted in a human netrunner transformed into a digital entity.
