In Cyberpunk 2077, the AI taxi quest involving malfunctioning Delamain cars is called “Epistrophy.”
The quest begins after V helps Delamain deal with a fleet problem. Several autonomous taxis have become separated from the central Delamain system, and V must locate them across different parts of Night City. Each vehicle presents a different situation, so the quest unfolds as a series of connected encounters rather than one conventional combat mission.
“Epistrophy” is named after a jazz composition, fitting the game’s frequent use of music and cultural references. It is also one of the game’s clearest early examples of a side quest built around artificial intelligence, autonomy, and conflicting ideas about whether a machine can possess an independent identity.
