In BBC's Dragon's Den, which stationery retailer is associated with Theo Paphitis?

The story behind the answer

Theo Paphitis is associated with the stationery retailer Ryman.

Paphitis acquired Ryman, the British stationery chain, in 1995 and became strongly identified with its expansion and retail strategy. The business sells stationery, office supplies, printing services and related products through shops and online channels.

His appearance on Dragon's Den reflected a career built through retail, telecommunications and consumer businesses. Paphitis became known for focusing on practical operations, branding and distribution when questioning entrepreneurs.

Ryman is not the same business as WHSmith, another major British high-street retailer, and it should not be confused with Paperchase, a separate stationery and cards brand. Paphitis later became involved with other well-known companies, including lingerie retailer Boux Avenue and craft retailer Hobbycraft. Ryman nevertheless remains the company most directly linked with his public business profile and his Dragon identity.
