Kelly Hoppen is the interior designer who served as a Dragon on BBC’s Dragons’ Den.
Hoppen is known for an interior-design approach combining clean lines, neutral colours and elements associated with East Asian design. She established her design business as a teenager and later worked on residential, commercial and transport-related interiors.
She joined Dragons’ Den in 2013 and appeared as an investor for several series. Her television role brought her design and business profile to an audience beyond the interior-design industry.
Kelly Hoppen is sometimes confused with other former female Dragons, including Rachel Elnaugh, Deborah Meaden and Sara Davies. Their professional backgrounds are different: Hoppen is principally associated with interior design, while the others built careers in retail, investment or craft manufacturing.
