In BBC’s Dragons’ Den, which Dragon founded the Bannatyne Group?

Duncan Bannatyne founded the Bannatyne Group, the business empire associated with his role on BBC’s Dragons’ Den.

The Bannatyne Group operates health clubs, spas and hotels. Bannatyne built the business after earlier ventures in leisure and care, turning it into one of the best-known branded health-club groups in the United Kingdom.

Bannatyne became one of the original Dragons when the UK programme launched in 2005. He remained a prominent panel member for many years and was known for pursuing investments in consumer products, services and technology.

The Bannatyne Group should not be confused with Bannatyne’s charitable work or his earlier business ventures. The group’s name identifies his leisure and wellness company, rather than a specific Dragons’ Den investment.
