Shaun Pulfrey invented the detangling hairbrush Tangle Teezer, which he pitched on BBC Dragon's Den.
Pulfrey developed the brush after observing how conventional brushes could pull and damage tangled hair. Its flexible teeth were designed to separate tangles with less pulling, making the product especially popular for long, curly, and difficult-to-manage hair.
He appeared on Dragon's Den in 2007, seeking investment for the invention. The Dragons did not make a deal, but the exposure helped raise awareness of the product and its unusual design.
Tangle Teezer is sometimes confused with an ordinary paddle brush because both are hair-care tools. Its defining feature is the arrangement and flexibility of the teeth, rather than an electrical or heated function.
