In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which Norse name is used for the playable Viking protagonist?

The story behind the answer

Eivor is the Norse name used for the playable Viking protagonist in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Eivor Varinsdottir, or Eivor Varinsson depending on the player's chosen presentation, leads a Viking clan from Norway to England during the ninth century. The game lets players select a masculine or feminine appearance, but the protagonist's name remains Eivor. This unusual presentation can cause confusion with Sigurd, an important ally and Eivor's adoptive brother.

The campaign follows the settlement of Ravensthorpe and Eivor's alliances with Anglo-Saxon kingdoms. It also connects the Vikings' story to the Hidden Ones, ancestors of the Assassin Brotherhood, through characters such as Basim and Hytham.

Ragnar and Ivarr are historical or fictionalized Viking-era figures associated with the game's world, but neither is the playable protagonist. Valhalla was released in 2020 and combines historical settings with Norse mythology and the series' continuing Isu storyline.
