In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which historical region does Eivor leave to settle in England?

The story behind the answer

In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Eivor leaves Norway to settle in England.

Eivor begins the story in ninth-century Norway before leading a Viking clan across the North Sea. The settlement in England becomes the foundation for the main campaign, which involves alliances with regional rulers, conflicts with rival forces, and encounters with the Hidden Ones and the Order of the Ancients. Norway remains an explorable region, but England is the central destination and campaign setting.

Denmark and Sweden are also part of the broader Viking world, which makes them plausible alternatives, but they are not Eivor's homeland in the game. Iceland is likewise associated with Norse history but is not the region from which the settlement expedition departs. Valhalla was designed around both Norwegian fjords and Anglo-Saxon England.
