The Viking protagonist of Assassin's Creed Valhalla is named Eivor.
Eivor is a Norse raider who leaves Norway with the Raven Clan and settles in ninth-century England. Players can choose or change Eivor's presented gender, but the character's name remains Eivor. The story follows the clan's attempts to establish a settlement while Eivor becomes entangled in conflicts involving the Hidden Ones and the Order of the Ancients.
Valhalla draws on the Viking expansion into the British Isles and includes historical figures such as Alfred the Great. Its setting is later than the events of Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey, which depict ancient Egypt and classical Greece. Eivor is also distinct from Sigurd, Eivor's close companion and clan leader, and from Ivarr the Boneless, a historical Viking figure represented in the game.
