In Assassin's Creed Unity, which city is explored during the French Revolution?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Unity explores Paris during the French Revolution.

The game is set mainly in Paris from 1789 onward, placing the player amid the political and social upheaval that began with the Storming of the Bastille. Its protagonist, Arno Dorian, becomes involved with the Assassin Brotherhood while investigating the death of his adoptive father.

Paris is the game's central open-world setting, with landmarks and districts represented in a large historical recreation. Versailles also appears, especially in the opening portions and other sequences, but it is not the main city explored throughout the game. That distinction explains why Versailles is a plausible but incorrect answer.

Unity was released in 2014. It introduced cooperative multiplayer missions for up to four players, allowing participants to complete selected objectives together. The game also features historical figures including Maximilien Robespierre, Napoleon Bonaparte, and the Marquis de Sade.
