In Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Evie Frye becomes the playable Assassin in London after Jacob's opening mission.
Syndicate follows twins Jacob and Evie Frye in 1868 London. The siblings arrive to challenge Templar control during the Industrial Revolution, and the game allows players to switch between them for many missions. Jacob focuses more heavily on gangs and direct disruption, while Evie often pursues stealthier investigations and Isu-related mysteries.
The opening sequence introduces Jacob before control shifts to Evie. Later, each twin has missions that reflect distinct abilities and priorities, although both contribute to the struggle against the Templars and the creation of the Rooks gang.
Jacob is easy to choose by mistake because he is the first twin prominently controlled. Evie is nevertheless a fully playable protagonist, not merely Jacob's supporting character. Their partnership is one of Syndicate's defining structural features.
