The Rooks are the London gang led by Jacob and Evie Frye in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
Set in London in 1868, Syndicate follows twin Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye as they challenge Templar control over the city. Jacob creates the Rooks to fight the rival Blighters, a gang controlled by the Templar-backed criminal boss Maxwell Roth. The Rooks help the Frye twins reclaim districts and weaken Templar influence.
The gang system is tied to the game’s territory structure. Players complete activities, recruit allies, and confront enemy leaders to bring areas of London under Assassin control. Members of the Rooks can assist during missions and street conflicts.
The Rooks are sometimes confused with the Blighters because both are named gangs operating in Victorian London. The Blighters are the opposing organization, while the Rooks are Jacob and Evie’s allies. The game also features historical figures including Queen Victoria, Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens, and Florence Nightingale.
