In Assassin's Creed Syndicate, London is the primary setting for Jacob and Evie Frye's missions.
The game takes place in London in 1868, during the Industrial Revolution. Twin Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye arrive in the capital and challenge Templar control over its districts, factories, gangs, and transportation networks.
The setting includes recognizable areas and landmarks such as Westminster, the City of London, the Thames, and Buckingham Palace. Jacob generally focuses on disrupting organized crime and Templar power, while Evie pursues objectives involving the Pieces of Eden and historical research.
Paris belongs primarily to Assassin's Creed Unity, which is set during the French Revolution. Manchester and Edinburgh are real British cities, but they are not the main open-world setting of Syndicate. The London setting is one of the series' clearest examples of a modern industrial city recreated through historical fiction.
