In Assassin's Creed Rogue, what is Shay Cormac's former organization before he joins the Templars?

Shay Cormac belongs to the Assassin Brotherhood before joining the Templars in Assassin's Creed Rogue.

Shay begins the game as an Assassin operating in the North Atlantic during the eighteenth century. After a catastrophic mission and a growing disagreement with the Brotherhood's methods, he breaks with his former allies and is recruited by the Templars. The change makes him a rare playable protagonist who fights against the Assassins.

Rogue explores the conflict from the Templar perspective while connecting Shay's story to events and characters from Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. His former Assassin associates include Achilles Davenport and Adéwalé, while Haytham Kenway becomes a major Templar ally.

The Order of the Ancients is the predecessor organization used in Origins and Valhalla, and the Cult of Kosmos belongs to Odyssey. Neither is Shay's former group. Rogue was released in 2014 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
