In Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Constantinople is the main setting of Ezio Auditore’s final story.
Ezio travels to Constantinople, the capital of the Ottoman Empire, to recover keys connected to Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad’s legacy. The city’s districts, rooftops, markets, and waterways form the core environment for his missions and investigations.
The game also includes the Cappadocia region and returns to Masyaf through sequences connected with Altaïr. This dual structure links the stories of Ezio and Altaïr while concluding Ezio’s arc as the principal protagonist.
Constantinople was the city’s historical name during the period depicted. It was later officially renamed Istanbul in the twentieth century, although the name Istanbul had older usage. Using Constantinople here identifies the fifteenth-century Ottoman setting rather than a modern geographic label.
