In Assassin's Creed Revelations, Ezio visits Constantinople while searching for Altaïr’s keys.
The game follows Ezio in 1511 as he travels to the Ottoman capital, known today as Istanbul. He seeks five Masyaf Keys that unlock Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad’s library, linking Ezio’s late-life journey to the first game’s protagonist. The city is divided into districts such as Galata and the Imperial District.
Constantinople was a major political and commercial center of the Ottoman Empire. The story includes Sultan Bayezid II, Prince Suleiman, and the Ottoman succession struggle involving Selim and Ahmed. Ezio also works with local Assassins, including Yusuf Tazim.
The modern name Istanbul can cause a wording mix-up, but the game’s historical setting and title commonly identify the city as Constantinople. Masyaf is where Altaïr’s library stands, not the Ottoman capital Ezio visits during the main search.
