In Assassin's Creed Revelations, which historical ruler is secretly the Assassin mentor Yusuf Tazim's ally?

The story behind the answer

In Assassin's Creed Revelations, Suleiman the Magnificent is the historical ruler allied with Yusuf Tazim and Ezio.

Suleiman appears as a young Ottoman prince during the game's 1511 Constantinople setting. He is involved in the succession tensions surrounding the Ottoman throne and forms a relationship with Ezio, who is investigating the Templar search for Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Masyaf keys. Yusuf Tazim, the local Assassin leader, supports Ezio's work in Constantinople.

Suleiman later became one of the Ottoman Empire's longest-reigning and most influential sultans, ruling from 1520 to 1566. The game depicts him before his accession, when he was still a prince. This timing distinguishes him from Selim I, his father and the reigning sultan at the beginning of the historical period, and from Mehmed II, the earlier Ottoman conqueror of Constantinople.
