In Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Ezio visits Constantinople after leaving Italy.
Constantinople is the principal setting for Ezio's final main adventure. The city is part of the Ottoman Empire in the early sixteenth century, and Ezio works with local Assassins while searching for keys connected to Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's legacy. The game presents districts on both sides of the Golden Horn, including areas of historic importance.
The modern name Istanbul is often used for the same urban location, but Constantinople is the historical name used by the game and the answer expected for its setting. Athens, Jerusalem, and Cairo are important cities elsewhere in the series but are not the main city of Revelations.
The game alternates between Ezio's Constantinople storyline and playable memories of Altaïr. It was released in 2011 and concludes the Ezio trilogy while connecting two major eras of Assassin history.
