In Assassin’s Creed Revelations, which historical Assassin is the older protagonist alongside Ezio?
Answer
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Answer
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad is the historical Assassin whose later life appears alongside Ezio’s story in Assassin’s Creed Revelations.
Ezio travels to Constantinople in the early sixteenth century while seeking keys connected to Altaïr’s former headquarters in Masyaf. These keys unlock memories of Altaïr, allowing the game to show important episodes from his later career and leadership of the Levantine Assassin Brotherhood.
Revelations therefore connects two major protagonists from different periods rather than presenting only one historical timeline. Altaïr’s memories are set after the events of the first Assassin’s Creed and reveal the consequences of his reforms and his attempts to protect the Brotherhood.
The game was released in 2011 and concludes Ezio’s main trilogy. Altaïr should not be confused with Ratonhnhaké:ton, the birth name of Connor in Assassin’s Creed III, or Bayek, the protagonist of Origins.
