The game portrays Constantinople in the early sixteenth century, when Sultan Bayezid II ruled the Ottoman Empire. Important areas include the districts of Galata and the Imperial District, while characters such as Yusuf Tazim and Suleiman help connect Ezio to the city's political conflicts.
