In Assassin's Creed Revelations, Constantinople is Ezio Auditore's principal base of operations.
Ezio travels to Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire, while searching for Masyaf keys connected to Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. The city becomes the main setting for his missions, investigations, and encounters with the Ottoman and Byzantine factions. Its districts include Constantinople and the neighboring city of Galata.
The game depicts Constantinople in the early sixteenth century, during the reign of Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II. Prince Suleiman is also important to the story as a young member of the Ottoman dynasty. The setting gives Ezio a final major adventure distinct from the Italian cities of his earlier games.
Rome is the principal setting of Brotherhood, and Masyaf is strongly associated with Altaïr rather than Ezio's day-to-day operations in Revelations. Alexandria belongs to the later Egyptian setting of Origins. These locations connect the franchise's eras but are not interchangeable.
