Ezio explores Constantinople in Assassin's Creed Revelations while searching for Altaïr's secrets.
The game is set mainly in Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire, during the early 16th century. Ezio travels there to locate keys connected to Altaïr's former headquarters at Masyaf. The city is divided into districts influenced by Ottoman and Byzantine factions, and its neighborhoods provide the game's principal urban environment.
Ezio's investigation brings him into contact with Yusuf Tazim, leader of the Constantinople Assassins, and with Ottoman figures including Prince Suleiman. The story also returns to Altaïr's life, linking the two major Assassin protagonists across different centuries.
Constantinople is the historical name used in the period represented by the game; the city is now called Istanbul. Rome belongs primarily to Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Florence is strongly associated with Assassin's Creed II, and Alexandria is a major setting in Assassin's Creed Origins.
