In Assassin's Creed Revelations, which city does Ezio Auditore visit to follow Altaïr's legacy?

The story behind the answer

In Assassin's Creed Revelations, Ezio Auditore visits Constantinople to follow Altaïr's legacy.

The game is set mainly in Constantinople during the early sixteenth century, where Ezio searches for keys connected to Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's former stronghold at Masyaf. Constantinople, the capital of the Ottoman Empire, is divided into districts and becomes the center of Ezio's final major adventure. He works with local Assassins while becoming involved in Ottoman political tensions.

Revelations links the first three major protagonists more directly than earlier games. Ezio discovers Altaïr's memories and experiences parts of the older Assassin's life through recovered keys. The narrative therefore moves between Ezio's Ottoman setting and Altaïr's thirteenth-century story in Masyaf.

Masyaf is crucial to the plot but is not the city where Ezio spends most of the campaign. Damascus and Alexandria are associated with other historical settings in the franchise. Constantinople is also called Istanbul in later historical usage, but the game uses the name Constantinople for its period setting.
