In Assassin's Creed Origins, which Roman leader is portrayed as Cleopatra's ally?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Origins portrays Julius Caesar as an ally of Cleopatra.

The game's story is set in ancient Egypt during the first century BCE, when Cleopatra VII competes with her brother Ptolemy XIII for control of the kingdom. Cleopatra seeks outside support, and Julius Caesar becomes a major political and military partner in her struggle. Their alliance is based on real historical events, although the game adds fictional Assassin and Templar elements around them.

Bayek of Siwa, the game's protagonist, becomes involved in the conflict while pursuing the Order of the Ancients. Origins uses this setting to show the political pressures affecting Egypt as Roman power expands across the Mediterranean.

Mark Antony is a plausible alternative because he was also a historical ally and partner of Cleopatra, but he became closely connected with her later, after Caesar's assassination. Augustus, then known as Octavian, ultimately opposed Cleopatra and Mark Antony. Origins was released in 2017 and serves as an origin story for the Assassin Brotherhood.
