In Assassin’s Creed Origins, which Egyptian queen does Bayek meet?

In Assassin’s Creed Origins, Bayek meets the Egyptian queen Cleopatra.

Cleopatra VII is a major historical figure in Origins and an important ally of Bayek and Aya during the game’s political conflict. The story is set in the final decades of Ptolemaic Egypt, when Cleopatra is competing for power and attempting to secure her position against her brother Ptolemy XIII and other rivals.

The game’s portrayal combines documented history with the fictional Assassin–Templar struggle. Cleopatra is not presented as the founder of the Assassins; instead, she works with Bayek and Aya for political and military reasons. The Hidden Ones, the organization associated with the later Assassin Brotherhood, emerge from Bayek and Aya’s experiences after the central events of the story.

Cleopatra ruled Egypt from 51 to 30 BCE and was the last active ruler of the Ptolemaic Kingdom. Origins was released in 2017 and takes players through locations including Alexandria, Memphis, and the Egyptian desert. Historical characters such as Julius Caesar also appear, but Cleopatra is the queen most directly tied to Bayek’s political storyline.
