In Assassin's Creed Origins, which Egyptian city is the home of protagonist Bayek of Siwa?

The story behind the answer

In Assassin's Creed Origins, Bayek of Siwa comes from the Egyptian oasis settlement of Siwa.

Bayek is a Medjay, a protector and lawkeeper, whose title identifies him with the Siwa community. The game opens in Siwa in 49 BCE, before Bayek's investigation takes him across Ptolemaic Egypt. His personal search for those responsible for his son's death gradually becomes connected to the origins of the Hidden Ones.

Siwa is located in Egypt's Western Desert, far from the Nile Valley's major cities. In the game, its isolated setting helps establish Bayek's identity and the contrast between local traditions and the political forces operating elsewhere in Egypt.

Alexandria is another major setting and is home to Aya, Bayek's wife, for much of the story. Memphis and Thebes are also historically important Egyptian cities represented in the game, but neither is Bayek's home. “Siwa” is therefore both the character's defining epithet and the answer to his place of origin.
